Founded in 1906, we have always remained true to our Hanseatic corporate philosophy to set up, link up and shore up trusting trading relationships. Following this principle, our family-owned textile company is now run by the fourth generation of owner-managers.

Our core values have never changed, even as we steadily adapt to changing market conditions and rise to new challenges. Achieving and guaranteeing maximum customer satisfaction with the greatest efficiency is the focus of our daily business.

As a "textile service provider" with decades of experience, we are connected around the world and cover nearly every segment of the apparel, bags, accessories and footwear industry.

By expanding our company in the areas of logistics and IT, we have developed into a systems supplier that today offers the complete value added chain, from the first design draft to the creation and upkeep of multilingual online shops, from quality assurance and sustainability impact assessments of our suppliers on site to the optimum presentation of merchandise and brands by our retail partners.

More than 2,000 customers and partners in more than 50 countries around the world trust the services of the Schmidt Group today. We attempt to bring together the fitting package for each one.

What might we do for you?

The company BAY CITY was founded in 1975 and is nowadays one of the most important pillars of the Norderstedter Schmidt Group. As one of the leading service providers in Europe, the group of companies is networked worldwide and covers almost every sector of the textile industry.

The success story of BAY CITY is based on two pillars: The own brands and the private label segment. In addition to our own brands, e.g. DETTO FATTO, POLO SYLT, NAVIGATOR, COLORADO DENIM, OKLAHOMA JEANS and EXPAND, we also design and procure customized fashion and product ranges in the private label segment.

Our team of experts meets the requirements of a modern and future-oriented supply chain. With novel technologies of digitalization, such as 3D programs from Assyst, we shorten development processes and are thus able to react to trends and market changes or even proactively participate in them. Our aim is always to use selected, sustainable and high-quality materials; the selection of worldwide, certified manufacturing companies is a matter of course for us.

As a company, we are aware of our extensive responsibility towards people and the environment. This is why we at BAY CITY have been committed to manufacturing our products fairly for over 10 years - with respect for our environment and for the people we work with. In order to take a further step towards supply chain transparency and to drive development forward, we have joined the "Green button". As the first government seal, the "Green button" combines requirements for the product AND for the company.
